Short bio about yourself…
I am a wife, business owner, mother of three amazing children, and lover of life! We live in beautiful Auckland close to the beach. I love to paint, exercise, cook, work, be outdoors, and spend time with my family and friends.
I trained as a physiotherapist, and have done additional study in more holistic healthcare, I started to run my own health clinic 14 years ago. My passion is to see people become well and reach their full potential in life. After working as a physiotherapist in sports rehab I went on to learn and practice in the field of neurological integration (NIS) which basically operates from the premise that the brain controls all the functions of the body and mind. When the body is out of alignment, it is like a broken circuit and by using NIS the brain can fix the problem by reconnecting the circuit. My business is called Connect Health for this reason! It was established in 2004 and I am delighted to be seeing great results in my clients which enables them to overcome their structural issues, helps them sleep better, helps with hormonal problems, immune problems, learning difficulties, and generally live better lives on a number of different levels.

What do you eat in a typical day
My goal is to eat nutrient dense food so my body won’t crave unhealthy food. For instance, today I ate:
- Bacon, eggs, broccoli and raw beetroot and carrot salad.
- 2 green smoothies
- Fish, roast veges in coconut oil and salad from my garden.
Some days are not so good but I try and eat well as much as I can sometimes on the run with 3 young children.

Advice to someone wanting to start a healthy lifestyle
Find someone you can be accountable to.
Start one thing at a time, ie introduce one healthy change per week.
If you eat well 80% of the time, there is room for the 20% of the time we make some not-so-healthy choices.
The best thing to do if starting out on supplements is to take vitamin C and D.
